Example: “Jumanji – Welcome to the Jungle”
“Jumanji – Welcome to the Jungle”is an action-adventure comedy directed by Jake Kasdan, based on the script by Kasdan, Chris McKenna, Erik Sommers, Scott Rosenberg and Jeff Pinkner, from a story by McKenna. The film also pays tribute to Robin Williams, who had starred in the first film and who died in 2014.
The Berlin full-service event agency, Chest of Wonders, was commissioned by Sony Pictures to organize the German premiere of “Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle”. The premiere screening was attended by around 1,500 fans and 700 invited guests against the backdrop of a tropical jungle in the Sony Center in Berlin.
The concept of the premiere event was based on the film’s plot, in which the main characters are transported from the real world into the jungle. By using a multitude of different, sometimes hundred-year-old palm trees and tropical plants, Chest of Wonders incorporated this concept into the event, by recreating the jungle in what was actually a pre-Christmas Sony Center. Guests and spectators emerged from the Christmas ambience around Potsdamer Platz only to enter the tropical jungle world of the film. Being immersed in the jungle-like atmosphere served as a sensory warm-up for the film.
